Campus-based Resources

Basic Needs Resources The Center for Basic Needs encompasses the Big Orange Pantry, Smokey’s Closet, and other resources which provide food, clothing, hygiene products, meal plan scholarships, transportation resources and more.
Campus Climate Reporting Campus Climate Concern is an action or incident that may discriminate against, stereotype, exclude, or harm anyone in our UTK community. Concerns may affect one’s ability to learn and thrive on campus, and they are encouraged to be reported through this resource.
Central Reporting By accessing the Central Reporting page, students, faculty, staff, and others can easily submit the necessary reports tailored to the specific office they require assistance from.
Center for Care and Resilience The Center for Care & Resilience team works collaboratively with students and the university to support individuals who are experiencing distress in their lives.
Disability Services Student Disability Services (SDS) is committed to partnering with the UT community to ensure an accessible university experience for students with disabilities by removing or minimizing barriers.
Division of Access & Engagement The DAE provides professional development workshops to faculty and staff on a variety of topics
Learning & Organizational Development The L&OD group at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville offers a full schedule of professional development workshops and learning opportunities for staff and faculty throughout the year.
Pride Center The Pride Center offers a space for community for LGBTQ+ students. It also releases a biweekly newsletter with information about events, campus programming, job and scholarship opportunities, and other relevant content.
Psychological Clinic The campus clinic provides in-person and remote services as needed.
Safe Zone Training Safe Zone is a three-tiered educational workshop series focusing on the LGBTQ+ community.
Student Health Center The Student Health Center provides robust services to the campus community.
Title IX The Office of Title IX provides information about resources and support for Transgender and Gender Diverse Persons have experienced sexual harassment

Our inclusive approach respects and welcomes individuals with a range of diverse identities, cultures, and values. If your gender identity is not represented in the housing application, or if you are interested in additional information about gender-inclusive housing options, please make this selection when submitting your housing application in your University Housing portal. UT Student Organizations & Professional Groups

OutGrads The University of Tennessee’s LGBTQ+ organization for graduate students.
OutLaw The Lambda Law Society is the LGBTQIA+ Legal Society at the University of Tennessee College of Law. Lambda is dedicated to building awareness about LGBTQIA+ legal issues, eliminating stereotypes about LGBTQIA+ individuals, and fostering a supportive LGBTQIA+ and ally community throughout the law school.
oSTEM Out in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (oSTEM at UTK) is UTK’s chapter of oSTEM, a national student and professional organization dedicated to supporting and empowering LGBTQ+ people and allies in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) fields.
VolOut VolOUT is a student organization on campus that provides a means of communication and community among queer and ally students at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. We are a primarily social club that wants to make the experience of LGBTQ+ students at UTK as positive as possible.
Sexual Empowerment and Awareness at Tennessee SEAT is an organization with the mission of fostering a comprehensive and intellectual discussion on sex, sexuality, and relationships with the purpose of educating the University of Tennessee student body and the Knoxville community through innovative, captivating, and entertaining methods.
Women’s Coordinating Council

The Women’s Coordinating Council is a student-led organization that prioritizes programming and activism and seeks to empower folks from all gender, ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds using an intersectional feminist lens. & advocate for equity among all social groups.
