On March 7, 2024, the Business School Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Collaborative (BUSDEIC) bestowed upon Tyvi Small, Vice Chancellor of the Division of Access and Engagement, the prestigious Bernard J. Milano Champion of Change Award. The ceremony took place at the BUSDEIC’s annual conference held at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
Named in honor of Mr. Bernard J. Milano, the former president of the KPMG Foundation and founding president of the PhD Project, the Champion of Change Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and leadership in facilitating and supporting inclusive practices for underrepresented populations.
The Business School Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Collaborative advances diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in higher education through hosting conferences to discuss best practices and programs, granting awards, and serving as a resource for educators and businesspeople who are interested in increasing the opportunities for historically underrepresented groups.
