Food and fun took place in Knoxville’s local community, inviting the UTK family to celebrate employees of the university and their families. Many participants joined the second annual collaboration of The University of Tennessee and The Change Center’s “Family Fun Day” to enjoy games, food, and receive school supplies for students.

The Change Center is a non-profit organization that provides a safe space for the community’s youth. They organize job opportunities for young teens, collaborate with other nonprofits to plan events, and help keep the youth engaged with activities.

The University of Tennessee’s Office of Community Engagement and Outreach 5 year partnership with The Change Center extends the UTK family within the community. This partnership serves Knoxville’s youth beyond higher education, amplifies college access, and provides educational opportunities. UT’s support in the community helps serve the Change Center’s mission of keeping the youth engaged in education and extracurricular activities.
