Earlier this month, Amanda Assalone Cho co-published a research article called Contextualizing Contemporary Racial Justice Activism in Higher Education for New Directions for Student Services, Volume 2022, Issue 180. In this article, Cho, along with her team, addressed recent examples of racial justice activism within higher education and offered recommendations for institutional leaders and administrators to consider when engaging with students focused on racial justice activism.
Cho is an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Higher Education Administration program in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences and also serves as the Evaluation Specialist for the Division of Diversity and Engagement. She has publications that report on effective leadership practices and developmental education initiatives at Minority-Serving Institutions. She is passionate about collaborating with other scholars in effort to inform about the history of Asian immigration, the complexities of Asian/American identities, and Asian American civil rights activism and advocacy.
