The Division of Access and Engagement is pleased to welcome JaKya Moore (Kya) as the new Graduate Research Assistant.

A native of Knightdale, North Carolina, Kya committed to The University of Tennessee to play on the volleyball team. Kya was a part of the 8.0 VOLeader cohort, where she utilized her developed leadership skills and the power of sport to create social change. She is also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Kya graduated in spring 2023 with a degree in Sports Management, and a minor in Business Administration.

Kya is continuing her education at the University of Tennessee to complete a Master’s program in Management and Human Resources.

In Kya’s free time, she is an at-home hair stylist for her friends. She also enjoys spending time at the nail spa to relax.
