Meet the Coordinator of the Chancellor’s Commissions and Council

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts from Clemson University and is currently a Master’s candidate in the College Student Personnel program. As a first generation college student at a large public university, she experienced many of the challenges faced by first gens. Today, she draws from some of her own experiences to inform her higher education practice.

After moving to Knoxville in 2014, Sarah began her work at UT, where she served in 2 separate roles working directly with graduate students. Today, Sarah coordinates the Chancellor’s Commissions and Council, the 6 affinity groups on campus which serve to assess the needs of their respective marginalized populations, in turn providing recommendations to the Chancellor.

In her free time Sarah enjoys spending time with her 8 year old daughter and 2 rescue English Bulldogs in their (mostly pink) house.
