Community Engagement Academy

The Community Engagement Academy (CEA) is an interdisciplinary professional development program designed for new UTK faculty (0-3 years) and graduate students who wish to learn the foundations of community engagement and engaged scholarship and apply knowledge to research and practice. CEA will provide emerging engagement scholars with background literature on the history of community engagement, facilitated discussion, project design, mentoring, and presentations to increase their knowledge and enhance their practice of community engagement and engaged scholarship. CEA is offered each fall semester.

“Thoughtful Thursday” Community Conversations

The Office of Assessment Culture and Education (ACE) within the Division of Access and Engagement is bringing back Thoughtful Thursdays, a series revolving around inclusive excellence through intentional professional development. Sessions are regularly held on the first and third Thursday of each month from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
