LearnĀ in international contexts, develop leadership skills, and make a lasting impact.
Our international immersion experiences provide students with opportunities to engage in global settings, strengthen leadership competencies, and participate in hands-on learning that supports academic and professional growth. With past programs in locations like Puerto Rico and Rwanda, students have collaborated on impactful service projects and high-impact learning opportunities. These experiences support personal and professional development by enhancing leadership, collaboration, and global communication skills. Participants also build global networks and gain broader perspectives on community development and international engagement.
Program Pillars
- Leadership: Scholars will develop the ability to engage positively in a global community by understanding various leadership styles and practicing leadership that respects and values differences.
- Service: Scholars will understand and participate in mutually beneficial and contextually relevant service projects that address the needs of the local community while fostering a spirit of collaboration and reciprocity.
- Culture: Scholars will gain a deep understanding of what informs and impacts their own experience and those different from their own, enhancing their ability to navigate cross-cultural interactions with consciousness, respect, and awareness.
- Community: Scholars will strengthen their sense of community by actively participating in group activities, building meaningful relationships with peers and local residents, and reflecting on the importance of community engagement in fostering global citizenship.
